Good to know Amazon contributes to Cortex! I responded with Google's managed service as that's the only managed service I evaluated due to us running our infrastructure on GCP.

With projects such as Cortex and Mimir it introduces more operational complexity due to managing more moving parts in a distributed system. AMP only works well if you can afford it. Google quoted £50k a month for 1 million sample ingestion rate per second. Do you have a rough idea how much AMP will cost for similar ingestion rate?

For Cortex, have you published any benchmarks compared to other open source monitoring platforms? This makes it easier for adopters to take immediate decisions using data driven evaluation.
